Students

Successful careers start with a  good education and the work experiences students get before graduation. Everyone deserves the chance to get a good start.

Start your career before you graduate from school. Learn and grow.

Specialisterne understands that students who identify as neurodivergent have the same goals and aspirations as their peers. And just like everyone else they struggle with managing the demands of school and trying to make informed career decisions.

Some people go to school and already know just what they want to do when they graduate. Others are not so sure. Either way, the best time to prepare for a career is to start before graduation. But interviews can be very difficult to get through and it can be hard to know where to begin.

In partnership with post-secondary institutions and employers, Specialisterne provides post-secondary students with autism and other neurodivergence with a new path to employment.

Based on the successful model already used by employers across Canada, the Post-Secondary Employment Bridging Program provides students with the opportunity to gain meaningful employment experience while in school. This program helps students learn about their strengths and employers to create better work environments where everyone can be at their best and most productive.
