Specialisterne has been named by Forbes as one of the 200 leading innovators and impact-makers in the field of accessibility.
We are honored to be part of the Forbes Accessibility 200, helping shape a more inclusive world of work and unlock the full potential of neurodivergent talent for organizations.
SANT CUGAT DEL VALLÈS (BARCELONA), May 19, 2026 – For the second consecutive year, Forbes has selected Specialisterne as one of the biggest innovators and impact-makers in accessibility worldwide, including the organization in the Accessibility 200 list, published today.
The list, which featured 100 organizations in its inaugural 2025 edition, has been expanded to 200 due to the overwhelming response. It was compiled with the assistance of a 12-member expert advisory board from around the world and includes organizations from 23 countries, active in fields such as communication, mobility, education, software, consumer products, robotics, sports and recreation, travel, the workplace, entertainment, and more.
Specialisterne works to advance accessibility by creating meaningful training and employment pathways for neurodivergent individuals, making accessibility a structural driver of innovation and inclusion in the workplace.
“The fact that Forbes has expanded this list from 100 to 200 organizations in just one year confirms what we have observed over more than two decades: accessibility is a structural transformation underway in the workplace and across society. Working with neurodivergent talent challenges organizations to rethink their models and communicate with greater rethink their HR models. It makes us more effective leaders and more mindful professionals,” said Ramon Bernat, Chairman of Specialisterne Global.
Globally, an estimated 80% of autistic individuals remain unemployed, and 30–40% of neurodivergent adults are without employment. With 15–20% of the world’s population being neurodivergent, investing in cognitive accessibility represents a strategic advantage as well as a social imperative.
“Accessibility has evolved from a legal mandate to a bustling frontier of innovation, impact and profit,” says Alan Schwarz, Forbes Assistant Managing Editor. “From juggernaut companies to lone entrepreneurs, Accessibility innovation inspires new features, products and services that transform how people with disabilities – and often the wider world – communicate, travel, learn, work, play sports, and so much more. It’s now beyond ‘the right thing to do’ – it’s integral to a smart business.”
“Being recognized for the second consecutive year confirms that our model delivers measurable results. Over the past year, we have trained more than 26,000 professionals worldwide, from leaders and executives to people managers, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition, and 70% of our global team identifies as neurodivergent. It is this lived experience, combined with deep industry expertise, that allows us to dismantle structural barriers and build workplaces where different thinking becomes the engine of innovation,” said Francesc Sistach, CEO of Specialisterne Global and Specialisterne USA.
