Technical Analyst – First Level Support (D-3)

Do you like providing technical support to end-users? Do you have a strong customer service orientation? Do you enjoy responding to questions & problems? One of Canada’s largest financial services companies is recruiting people into roles in Information Technology in the Greater Toronto Area.

As a Technical Analyst (First Level Support)

Here is what you will do:

  • Provide first-level network support and response to network monitoring alerts
  • Prioritize escalations for second-level response
  • Respond to user questions and requests by phone and/or email
  • Maintain status reports, ticketing systems and incident control logs
  • Conduct testing of new software releases to ensure successful implementation.

Here is what you will need:

  • A broad understanding of desktop computing with ability to provide problem solving and technical support for office productivity tools such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office or Lotus Notes
  • The aptitude to troubleshoot and learn new technical skills quickly
  • The willingness to occasionally work evenings or open to scheduled shift work

Employment Discovery Workshop
An important first step in the Specialisterne recruitment process is an Employment Discovery Workshop. It is a hands-on, task-based experience where you will work on specific projects in a relaxed setting. It is an opportunity to learn about our approach to hiring, and for us to get to know you – what motivates you, your interests and your skills. Every participant who attends will receive a summary profile useful with future employers.

Training Program
Candidates whose profiles are well suited for the role will be invited to participate in a four week skills evaluation and training program on the employer’s site that will include case studies, real life projects, as well as training relevant to the roles and working environment.

On the job support
Employment offers are made to the candidates with the best fit. Once accepted, the individuals will transition into their positions at the financial services business. Specialisterne Canada will provide support where necessary, which may include modifications to the work environment.
