IT Security Analyst (D-5)

As a IT Security Analyst

Here is what you will do:

  • Use incident and case management methodologies to address and report on specific occurrences, within a compliance framework;
  • Utilize investigation platforms in a comprehensive and consistent manner;
  • Retrieve, review and compile relevant data from various databases and archives;
  • Detect irregularities and report anomalies in system access and usage; summarize patterns and escalate as required.
  • Assess and troubleshoot various threats, issues or incidents;
  • Apply Information Security best practices, and current methodologies.

Here is what you will need:

  • Have a certificate, degree, or practical experience in the area of information or cyber security or equivalent experience in related fields like computer science, engineering, electronics or similar;
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic, and a problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to carry out data mining complex data manipulation;
  • Practical knowledge of databases including are accessed and updated;
  • Be attentive to multiple details, while remaining aware of the big picture;
  • Become familiar with principles of risk management and how to apply them;

Employment Discovery Workshop
An important first step in the Specialisterne recruitment process is an Employment Discovery Workshop. It is a hands-on, task-based experience where you will work on specific projects in a relaxed setting. It is an opportunity to learn about our approach to hiring, and for us to get to know you – what motivates you, your interests and your skills. Every participant who attends will receive a summary profile useful with future employers.

Training Program
Candidates whose profiles are well suited for the role will be invited to participate in a four week skills evaluation and training program on the employer’s site that will include case studies, real life projects, as well as training relevant to the roles and working environment.

On the job support
Employment offers are made to the candidates with the best fit. Once accepted, the individuals will transition into their positions at the financial services business. Specialisterne Canada will provide support where necessary, which may include modifications to the work environment.
