SAP Partnership

SAP and Specialisterne: Working Together to Employ People with Autism

Specialisterne and SAP have entered into a partnership to provide employment opportunities for people on the autism spectrum in roles such as software testers, programmers, system administrators, and data quality assurance specialists. As with Specialisterne and our partners around the globe, SAP sees a potential competitive advantage to leveraging the unique talents of people with autism, while also helping them to secure meaningful employment.

This collaboration supports SAP’s mission to help the world run better and improve people’s lives, and our mission to enable jobs for people with autism, while strengthening SAP and SPF as global leaders in innovation.

“By concentrating on the abilities that every talent brings to the table, we can redefine the way we manage diverse talents,” said Luisa Delgado, member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, Human Resources. “With Specialisterne, we share a common belief that innovation comes from the ‘edges.’ Only by employing people who think differently and spark innovation will SAP be prepared to handle the challenges of the 21st century.”

Successful pilot projects in India, Ireland, Germany, the United States, and now Canada have demonstrated the positive impact of empowering people with autism to excel in their areas of strength.  Specialisterne recently recruited and helped to place people into jobs at SAP labs in both Vancouver and Montreal.
